What to do if I received the error message “Cannot connect to fxcorporate.com server”?

If you received the error message “Cannot connect to fxcorporate.com server,” please diagnose the issue by completing each solution recommendation in the below order:

  • Solution 1:
    • This error message usually occurs when trading is closed. Confirm that trading is open and try to log in again.
    • Trading is closed from Friday 4:55 PM to Sunday 5:15 New York time (EST). When trading is closed, we often perform IT maintenance and you will receive this standard error message. Once the maintenance is complete you will be able to log in.
  • Solution 2:
    • Check your internet connection. Trading online requires a strong internet connection and we recommend to restart your internet modem.
    • To restart your internet modem, simply unplug the modem from its power source. Allow the modem 1-2 minutes before plugging it in again. Then, try to log in once more. 
  • Solution 3:
    • Test your connection to our server by running a Trace Route.
      1. Click on this link https://files.fxcorporate.com/traceroute.bat
        • (If using Internet Explorer > click Run)
        • (If using Firefox or Chrome > Save File, Open File, > click Run)
      2. Wait up to 60 seconds for the black screen to disappear and for notepad file to appear.
    • Ideally, the times should be consistently less than 150 milliseconds (ms) and there should be no asterisks (*) resulting in 'Request timed out'. The asterisks raises concern that data may not be transmitting properly through the internet.
  • Solution 4:
    • Configure your firewall or antivirus software to allow Trading Station to connect to the Internet. Click here for instructions to configure your Firewall.
